We would love to wax you for your special day. We recommend waxing 2-3 days before an event. This will ensure plenty of time for any histamine reaction to subside, should you experience any.
Don't worry you're in good hands. We do our best to provide the most pleasant experience possible. To minimize the pain we recommend taking an over-the-counter pain reliever like Advil or Aspirin about 30 minutes before your wax service.
With that being said, everyone's pain threshold is different and change based on different factors. Your first time may be the most uncomfortable but with consistency, it will get easier.
Of course, you can! However, due to the hormonal changes your body is going through you may experience a higher level of discomfort. Therefore, we recommend waxing three days before your cycle is scheduled to start or at least two days after your cycle has ended.
If you wish to proceed please make sure to have a new/clean tampon inserted during your appointment.
We use a premium vegan wax ideal for hypersensitive skin. Great for face and all over body waxing.
We use hypoallergenic and hypersensitive wax in the hope that it will work well with most of our guests. If you have a history of known allergies or sensitivity we can happily offer a wax patch test in a small area 24 hours before a wax service.
Should you inadvertently suffer a sever reaction, we recommend seeking medical attention.
Heat is essential when waxing. However the wax should not be scorching hot when applied. The ideal wax temperature should be warm enough to adhere to the hair and have the consistency of honey in order to properly manipulate the wax. Should you feel the wax is too warm, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will happily turn it down for you.
After Care Wax Questions
Redness is normal- do not stress. You may also experience sensitivity and in some cases slight inflammation after a wax. Again don't stress, this is completely normal and usually subsides within 24 hours or sooner. Aftercare will also ensure no problems develop.
- Witch hazel- it's a natural astringent which helps reduce minor inflammation and soothes the skin.
- Aloe vera - is a natural antibacterial and soothing to the skin.
We do not recommend swimming after waxing as the chlorine in the water may irritate or further irritate the waxed area. Your pores are completely exposed and more at risk of infection.
We do not recommend showering immediately after waxing. Instead allow the waxed area to cool down.
Do NOT exfoliate under any circumstances after waxing for at least the next 48 hours. Remember waxing is a form of exfoliating. Exfoliating will only make your skin more sensitive and may cause further irritation.
