Sun Rays and Waxing

Happy first days of summer!

Have you ever compared your arms and noticed your driver-side arm is more tan? Mine definitely is! Usually, this happens because the sun's UVA rays make their way not only through the clouds but also through your car windows and eventually to your skin. Unfortunately, these UVA rays, although they don't usually cause noticeable sunburns, can still cause skin damage.

So why am I talking about sun rays when we specialize in waxing? Well, when we wax we not only remove the hair, we also exfoliate your skin leaving you with brand new baby soft skin. Exfoliating, although very beneficial for a number of reasons, also makes your skin very sensitive to those harmful rays. Bottom line- use sunscreen, especially after waxing.

The good news is, I will happily apply a mineral sunscreen right after any facial service! It will protect your skin and not clog pores nor leave you looking like a ghost. Instead, it will soothe and protect your beautiful skin. #win
